You awaken in a hospital bed lit only by the light of a dangling exit sign inside an abandoned underground clinic. The intercom is stuck in a static loop, "dissonance" echos thru the halls. Every surface is covered in dust. "How long was i out?" You think to yourself. As frightening as the scene may be, you are overcome by a feeling of strange nirvana. You notice a patients intake band around your wrist. the name is worn off, and you cannot recall your identity or seem to mind. You make your way upstairs and outside into the town square.

You look left and right in the street. Abandoned cars with the doors open, broken shop windows. Newspaper scattered about, not a soul in sight. You feel as tho you faintly recall the town but aren't sure. You keep walking and see a "familiar road". While you walk towards the setting sun, a feeling of serenity and wonder takes hold. "I feel like this should bother me, the confusion..." You think to yourself as you venture forward. Your step turns to a march and an uplifting song of your own imagination plays in your head. The sky is beautifully saturated as an ocean of colors take the wispy clouds across the horizon. As you look back at the town in the distance, its hollow lack of inhabitants seems increasingly odd. You continue to follow the road all night.

The sun is setting, and the road ends at a radio tower on the absolute edge of a bluff overlooking the city. At the base the gate is open. There is a union repair truck at the base of the tower. The tower is very wide and quite tall. Things have felt right so far, so you decided to climb the tower.

Nearly half way up there is a wide platform that extends to each of the four main supports. There is boards and material lying about. It looks as though someone long ago climbed here before and had brought firewood. There is a burned out fireplace in the center. The gentle night winds wind around your body thru the night gown. The warm night air sends goosebumps head to toe as you put an arm around the safety railing and stand on a beam. A grin forms on your face as you look out across the tree tops. Though the lights in the city are out, it is still beautiful. You close your eyes and visualize your self. You see above the tower, and the trees below. You see your hair moving gently in the wind along with the straps in the back of your gown. "I think we're safe for now" you say to yourself. Your eyes fly open, in this moment you had seen outside of yourself. It felt so real. Maybe you had almost fallen asleep close to the railing. You could have fallen. Surprised by yourself, but still not afraid you lay down and eventually fall asleep.

The sun rises. You awaken to wind blowing the ashes of the fireplaces over the edge. The sunlight catches the dust and it is beautiful. You stretch and smell the clean air before starting back up the tower. As you climb you notice the "shadows, and not" on your arms. The many iron beams and rungs, with the angle of the sun cast crisp beams of light between the shadows. You think deeply about these gaps of light between the shadows. They feel equal. The shadows dancing over your arms as you climb ask for your attention, and the between grants them permission. These deep ideas about little things keep your mind off how incredibly high you have climbed.

Reaching the top of the tower you find many things. Wooden crates, what seems to be military equipment inside. Heavy-duty cases inside the crates neatly nestled by hay for safe transport. On the center beam is an open fuse box. A very thick cable is plugged in and running into one of the crates. You follow it and open the case. Some kind of alien technology is inside. A computer is connected to the cable. You open it, but it wont seem to turn on. You return to the fuse box, and notice a fuse is missing. You look around in all the boxes but can't find anything that would fit. Throwing the hay out of the boxes checking everywhere you become frustrated. You sit down on one of the boxes and look down thru the metal floor's holes. You see the fuse. It had fallen out and landed in the corner of two supports. Unfortunately the only way to reach it would be a risky climb without the ladder. You've come this far and decided to reach for it. The sun high in the sky you catwalk across a beam and gentle kneel to grab it. You think to yourself, "If this was a movie this would make a really cool helicopter shot!". You hadn't sweated like this the whole climb up, but the short balancing act out to the fallen fuse had you going.

Back at the fuse box, the "tower repair" was complete.

You pull the lever down and some sparks fly just like the movies. You jump back and feel the safety railing on your back. Tapping the railing twice with your hand as to say thanks for catching me, before walking back over to the computer within the case.

The computer was covered in lights and very cold now that it had been powered. When you open it a beam of light flashes into your eyes. It appears to be initializing. An interface loads. It's a grid of some sort with blocks and parameters all over. For some reason you understand it completely. Your hands begin to move and control the system. "Wait." "i know this". You select a node and power flows away from the system into the tower. A signal is broadcast. A beautiful song plays, and fills every shadow, and not of the area with life and purpose. You remember everything. You step away and look out thru the clouds to the horizon. You can see for miles. It is so beautiful, what you have created for yourself.

You smile and say, "biliot, inkiliti."
